Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, Charleston SC. As part of Freyssinet multi-national team Pavel Pavlov was a senior quality control engineer for this unique cable stayed bridge project spanning the Cooper river at the Charleston bay. Master strand marking and length verification guaranteed accurate bridge erection. Cable stay force monitoring, tight project schedule, material inspections and onsite quality control composed some of the everyday challenges on the project. Until recently Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge was the longest cable stayed bridge in the Western hemisphere. It is a national landmark and source of pride for many Charlestonians.
