Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, Charleston South Carolina. As part of Freyssinet a multinational team Pavel Pavlov, PE was a senior quality control engineer for this unique cable-stayed bridge project spanning the Cooper River in the Charleston bay. Master strand marking and length verification guaranteed accurate bridge erection. Force monitoring in cable stays, tight project schedule, material inspections and onsite quality control composed some of the everyday challenges on the project. Until 2011 Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge held the title as the longest cable-stayed bridge in the Americas. It is a national landmark and source of pride for many Charlestonians.
