Fine Tuned Structures is the Structural Engineer of Record for the Southern First Bank branch located in the Nexton development in Summerville, South Carolina. The building is an approximately 3,000 square feet one-story structure. It is all wood framed with load bearing walls on the exterior only to allow the client full freedom with the interior plan layout. The structure is supported on shallow foundations. It is designed for seismic design category D, hurricane level wind loads, and wind debris impacts. The Architect of Record is Wakefield Beasley & Associates under the leadership of Barry Sallas, AIA. The main contractor on the project was SouthCon Building Group. The framing subcontractor was Atlantic Construction Services. The project was completed in 2019.
